In the sunny Salentine countryside, among ancient dry stone walls, pines, citrus and olive trees, stands a characteristic residence, where you can discover the slow rhythms of the Salento peninsula, enchanter of artists and poets. In the long driveway, you will breathe the scent of the majestic pines, characteristic of the ancient entrances to the noble residences. The rural connotation is highlighted by the beauty of the external walls of the lodgings, completely covered in stone, a symbiotic extension of the surrounding environment (similar to the trulli Salentini, the so-called "pajare"). The living area is developed around the two sides of the central courtyard, perfectly equipped for lunch, dining or living outdoors (gazebo covered with 4 tables, chairs, sink, stone barbecue, walk-in shower, cabin with washing machine). The first building consists of the house "Antea" as follows: living room (television, sofa and various furniture), 2 double bedrooms (one can add a single bed or cot), kitchen with table and chairs, bathroom with shower and services. Antea has 5 beds. On the opposite side of the common area, we note the second largest, built-up nucleus, subdivided into 3 excellent solutions. The "Dafne" house has an open-space living room with a fully equipped kitchen, with a table, an antique oven, a sofa bed, a dining table and chairs. From here you reach the hallway that leads to the 3 bedrooms (2 double and one with 2 single beds, which can be joined in double) and the bathroom, always equipped with a shower and toilet. Dafne has therefore maximum 7 beds. Next to it there is "Calypso". As for the other residences, the entrance leads into the living room / kitchen (present single bed), from which you get to the master bedroom or the full bathroom (there are 3 places to sleep in total). Finally, the two-room apartment "Euterpe" has a double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with everything you need (2 beds). On the back, adjacent to the buildings just described, there are: 1 excellent studio apartment complete with double bed, kitchenette and beautiful bathroom and a bright bedroom with 2 singles (which can be joined if necessary) and bathroom equipped with shower and toilet. The estate has, in the built area, 9 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and 5 equipped kitchens, for a total of 26 beds. All the houses are air-conditioned to protect themselves from the summer heat or to warm up in winter. The residence is embellished by a beautiful pool area, which stands between the cool olive grove and the rural buildings. The oval-shaped water mirror has a uniform depth of 1.5 meters. Of the solarium and relaxation areas, delimit the bricked part, in turn contained between a soft English lawn and the aforementioned olive grove. Often the deckchairs are positioned right in the trees, to enjoy the shade, in the quiet sunny days of Salento. Given the conformation described, the villa is particularly suitable for a group (families or friends), who want to enjoy their privacy by sharing the beautiful common areas, embraced by the surrounding countryside, in a simple and informal, but truly characteristic of the Apulien land. At about 50 meters from the accommodation, in a very old villa, the discrete owners of the property live, who take care of the maintenance of the garden, to ensure excellent water quality in the pool and can be useful for requests or information. Generally, the pool is closed in the first ten days of November. The property is just on the outskirts of Corigliano D'Otranto, a historic town of Salento that boasts an impressive castle open to the public, a beautiful villa with playground, a particular historic center and a very high level of culinary art, both in the center, that in the various farms in the area (delicious typical dishes, which we will talk to you after booking).
